The bathroom is often the place where we can stop time for a moment in the everyday rush. Through our daily care rituals, we can devote at least a little undivided time and attention to ourselves. Feeling different scents and textures is calming and harmonising. In my own everyday life, I also try to set aside at least ten minutes for myself to enjoy my body care rituals.

Peppermint body and hand soap. This soap is my favourite regardless of the season – in summer it is wonderfully refreshing, and in the cold season it helps conjure up a winter dream: the gentle yet fresh scent instantly brings to mind soft white snowdrifts to step into, or watching a winter landscape while sipping peppermint tea you picked yourself in summer. This soap has a good cleansing effect thanks to the added blue clay, and it creates a gentle, pleasant lather.
Protective hand balm. I developed this balm when I was making medicines at a pharmacy and had to wash my hands almost every ten minutes. The skin on my hands became very rough, dry and started to crack, especially in the cold season. Creams, which are usually water-based, didn’t help me, as they washed off with every hand wash and my skin never felt nourished. So I created a hand balm that contains no water, only active ingredients that protect, soften and nourish the skin of your hands. The balm has a thick consistency, but that is exactly why it is perfect for cold weather – your hands feel richly nourished, and the feeling doesn’t disappear when you wash them. Sea buckthorn oil and bisabolol, an active ingredient derived from chamomile, heal micro-cracks in the skin, and your hands become truly soft and healthy. The subtle scent of sea buckthorn and grapefruit oils is uplifting.
Peppermint and chamomile deodorant. This deodorant has everything I have ever wanted in a deodorant – a natural composition, a light, subtle scent, excellent moisture and body odour absorbing properties and, very importantly, environmentally friendly, easily recyclable cardboard tube packaging. The deodorant glides onto the skin easily; thanks to the coconut oil it contains, it is medium-firm and even creamy. It causes no irritation even after shaving – on the contrary, it soothes and refreshes irritated skin. It’s so nice to pick up a cardboard tube and use the product knowing that once it’s finished, you won’t have to rack your brain over which bin to sort the empty packaging into.
